Nicki had been wrapped up in Drakes arms, and it had been
two hours since she stopped crying. Drake started to stand up and bring Nicki to
her room when he felt her stir but went back to sleep and put her head in the
crook of his neck. Drake started up the
stairs, and reached the top and turned into to Nicki’s room and gently placed
her under the sheets of her bed. As
Drake was walking out the room he heard a soft voice call his name.
“Aubrey?” Nicki called weakly, her voice had gone hoarse
after crying for so long.
“Yes?”
“Where are you going?” Nicki said.
“I was just about to leave and go to the guest room, but if
you want me to stay here I can?”
“Please.”
Drake stripped down to only his boxers and Nicki took off
her clothes from early on in the day and slipped on one of her old T-shirts and
a thong. They both lay together in bed, as Drake had his arms enveloped around
Nicki’s torso and both of their legs intertwined with one another. Drake rubbed
Nicki’s leg up and down to soothe her back to sleep, and in a matter of minutes
she was fast asleep.
It had been morning and Nicki still swallowed herself in
self- pity as she got up and gone to the bathroom once she realized Drake wasn’t
there next to her when she woke up the next morning , she did her morning routine
and went downstairs into the kitchen to find Drake cooking breakfast for them.
Drake could sense Nicki’s presence in the room and turned around from cooking the eggs, to meet a still tear stained , red
eyes and a pale face Nicki. She looked miserable, and Drake just knew of a way
to cheer her up, and he was going to use today to do just that.
He finished
cooking breakfast, and sat it down on the table and Drake and Nicki ate in
comfortable silence for Drake wanted to give Nicki some time for her thoughts.
When they were done Drake cleaned the dishes and Nicki went upstairs to start a
shower. Once Drake was done he found Nicki
upstairs in her room on her phone. Drake came over to the bed and knelt down to
her level.
“Nic?”
“Yea?” Nicki said tiredly while looking up from her phone.
“Wanna go out today, take your mind off of what happened?”
“That would be great, but Aubrey you really don’t have to.”
Nicki said.
“No I want to, I think that you’ve spent too much time in
this house crying your eyes out on some nigga that broke your heart, so go get
dressed, I’ll take you somewhere special."
It had been twenty minutes and Nicki had
her outfit on and she
was ready to go. She met up with Drake who was waiting for her downstairs, when she finally arrived, he
looked her down and thought she looked flawless especially since she wasn’t wearing any makeup. They left the house and Nicki
still didn’t know where Drake was taking her so she decided to ask.
“Drake where are you taking me?”
“It’s a surprise, you’ll see when we get there.” Drake said.
It had been five minutes of sitting in comfortable silence
as Drake drove to this “surprise place”. When they finally got there Nicki saw
that they pulled up to a skating rink. Nicki got so excited because she hadn’t been
to one of those in a long time since she was a kid, she started to bounce up
and down and squeal. She reached over a gave Drake a hug.
“Drake, oh my goodness I haven’t been to one of these in
like forever!”
“Told you it was a surprise!” Drake said while chuckling at
how she was so excited.
Drake parked the car and got out to open Nicki’s door, as
they walked to the entrance of the door way they held hands, Drake opened the entrance
for Nicki and then they both walked in. they went straight to counter where one
of the employees who worked there gave them their wrist bands and skates.
Then Drake and Nicki went to strap on their skates and went
off to the skating rink. As soon as Nicki got on both her feet she already had
problems balancing, Drake found this cute but amusing and started laughing at
her.
“What are you laughing at you doof?’
“You, Nic you can barely stand up.”
“So, not all of us are professional skaters.” Nicki said
while crossing her arms over her chest.
“Look how bout I help you keep your balance?’
Nicki nodded and Drake led her onto the skating rink and he
made sure that they stayed close to the wall, for Nicki was insecure about
falling in front of all the people there, so Drake helped her out on the way.
Eventually Nicki got her balance and was able to skate on her own but Drake was
still there standing behind her, it had come to a time where the skating rink
was dark and all they had on was strobe lights, Drake and Nicki hadn’t been
paying attention and when the lights when Drake that’s when Nicki tripped and
fell in a corner only to have Drake catch her.
They ended up having there faces
an inch apart from one another, they could still see as the lights were still
flashing around them. They’d been staring
at each other catching the moment they were in and that when Drake leaned in
and kissed Nicki passionately, her lips were so soft and plump he couldn’t resist
himself, Nicki caught on and kissed Drake back adding her tongue, they separated
and both smiled at each other, without saying a word they left go back to the
house…
